About Lodi United Methodist Church
Lodi United Methodist Church has been a cornerstone of the Village since 1846.  The Church was first organized as the Methodist Episcopal Church in Harrisville.  The first regular minister was appointed in 1865 with the first church building dedicated in 1869.  In 1885 the first church parsonage was purchased.  In 1894 a wing was added to the first church building.  In 1901 the Methodist Episcopal Church incorporated.  In 1920 the old church was dismantle and rebuild at a Medina Street home.  In 1922 the present church building was dedicated on May 21.  In 1967 the present parsonage was purchased.  Over the years there have been many updates and additions to the facility as the Church family celebrated it's 125th Anniversary in 1971 and it's 150th Anniversary in 1996.  In 2005 the Lodi United Methodist Church was assigned to the Firelands District of the East Ohio Conference where we are still working hand in hand with our sister Churches today.
