Weekly Message From Rev. Don Kuntz

Someone last Sunday asked: “What if doing good were contagious?”

Lodi Community Hospital served a free hot meal in our fellowship hall on Thursday night. (While the food tasters did not commit to an opinion,
it’s not all about competition).
There were between 130 and 150 persons served (including our friends from group homes D, H and T).   The Hospital group had two dozen volunteers, and Lodi UMC had a dozen of our own check in from time to time throughout the evening.

The Jesus story for this Sunday comes from Mark 2, about a man who had four friends.
The four friends were willing to work and had some creative ideas to overcome obstacles.
Their commitment to doing good was contagious.
